I see that Moonbeam tagged me for the 7 factoid thing I see going around.  I’ll do it, but I don’t know who to send it on to so this part of the chain will stop here.  Yes, I’m that person- but ever since I did a chainletter in gradeschool that promised hundreds of postcards from around the world (still waiting for those) I haven’t been too keen on the idea.  But this doesn’t require me type up a hundred letters and fill out 50 postcards and harass my friends.

So anyway, 7 things about me:

1.  My celebrity crush is, and always will be, John Travolta.  I get a lot of flak for this, but ever since I saw him strutting down the street with paint can in tow I’ve been in love.  I even have an autographed picture of him, which I doubt is authentic- because I got it from here.

The UPS man from my hometown looks like him too, so I love him as well- and tell him so.

2.  I am convinced I was born in the wrong decade.  By some fluke of the Universe, I was born in 1984 instead of 1948.  I should have been there for The Beatles, the acid, the protests, and the clothing.  I have suffered because of this- the girl listening to CCR instead of TLC, wearing bellbottoms when tapered was in, and still being completely off when it comes to current trends and not relating to anyone my age. 

3.  I had an eating disorder in high school, and had to miss my junior year to get better.  Gross, I won’t go into detail, but I was anorexic… and then bulimic, and got better mainly because I never want to go to a clinic like that again, not because of resolved body issues.

4.  I am a Pisces, and use the traits of this sign to define me more than most people probably do.  I am proud to be a Pisces, even though no one else cares, and feel a strong connection to the moon and bodies of water…

5.  Even though I have a phobia of swimming and getting my face wet.  I will NOT swim underwater under any circumstances.  I can’t even stand getting sprayed in the face with water in the shower.  I will never scuba dive, surf, water ski, or jump off a diving board.  I don’t swim, I don’t get my face wet.  This fear either stems from falling into a pool in montessori school or has to do with my layers of eye make-up.

6.  I hate drinking, which I am told is odd for a 23 year old. 

7.  I hate it when I walk into anywhere (a store, a room, whatever) and people do not say ‘hello.’  I really hate it.
