Great!! This is the first time in history that a mindless prejudice has been cured.

Now when you take that first drag from your new pack, relax and notice the effect it has. Then you'll have your answer to the creeps who say there's no benefit. And you'll feel a lot less surly. You'll sleep like the proverbial baby and your energy and concentration will vastly improve. In sum, you'll be a much
better person as are 1.5 billion other folks who smoke.

But gosh, you wouldn't want to fall in love with me. I'm one of those guys who is just too good looking and I'm the most notorious womanizer in this vicinity.

Agree to disagree? It's not a matter of opinion. The Congressional Research Service, OSHA and the Oak Ridge National Laboratory--among many others-- have found with unimpeachable research that secondhand smoke is harmless. They didn't address primary smoking because that's none of their business.

The World Health Organization--the political arm of the international establishment-- has blackmailed over 100 countries into adopting an antismoking treaty that calls for the constant harassment of smokers. If they can get tobacco outlawed worldwide they can replace it with a cocktail of drugs --antidepressants. stimulants. tranquilizers, sleep aids,
weightloss drugs etc that will result in profits that won't fit on a calculator. Their profits treating "tobacco related" diseases will be unaffected because these maladies are caused by old age not smoking.

For you to say your smoking friends passed away and therefore smoking caused it is called "post hoc" reasoning and is utterly fallacious. The rooster crows and the sun rises but the rooster doesn't make the sun rise as idiots might believe with all their hearts.

<strong>Wow... you know what? You're right, you're totally right! I can't believe I didn't see it before. Thank you, for your wisdom and your determination to help me see the light. I'm on my way right now to go buy a couple packs of cigarettes, and now I can finally enjoy them guilt free. What a good man you are, a preacher of truth working hard to enlighten fools like me. Thank you, so much, and God bless you. I think I'm in love with you actually.

I'm not looking for a fight. I'm looking to educate a misled and deluded person for what it's worth and for the fun of it.

I'm not a very fast runner but what makes you think you can outrun me? Another delusion.

If smoking makes you feel like shit, you'd be well advised not to do it. But I'd love to know what's in tobacco that makes a person feel like shit. Does ice cream make you feel like shit?

The rest of the universe doesn't share your misinformation about smoking. The Internet has a wealth of information contrary to the Fraud of the Century.

You have formed an ignorant prejudice about smoking that dynamite wouldn't change. But your prejudices are of no consequence because you're not an elected official and you have no enforcement power. Go ahead and squawk.

<strong>I will say this: I WAS A SMOKER! I had health problems and side effects that developed when I smoked, and went away when I quit- which is proof enough for me. My smoking neighbor died of lung cancer, her smoking daughters both have emphysema, my friend's mom has chronic bronchitis, I could go on and on... I do not personally know one single non-smoker who has any kind of similar health problem. If you truly believe that cigarettes are not bad for you then fine, I'm sure you formed that opinion after doing extensive research and from personal experience- just like I did when I formed my own opinion about the subject. But I don't understand why everyone would work on this conspiracy to convince us cigarettes are bad anyway! 1) The health problems that are 'correllated' with smoking are usually treated with pharmaceuticals 2) people spend billions of dollars a year on highly taxed cigarettes- so with all the money flowing into the government and the big pharmaceutical companies as a result of people smoking cigarettes, why would they try and stop people from smoking?! Trust me, I am extremely suspicious of the big Pharma companies AND the government, but when it comes to smoking, I know first hand that smoking is bad for my health, and every single one of my smoking friends/relatives would agree. You are the first person I have ever come across who has ever argued that smoking is not bad for you, and I honestly could not disagree more with you. You can criticize me for "squawking" but YOU were the one who started the dialogue. So I will end with a suggestion to agree to disagree.

I HAVE given you proof that smoking is harmless with the animal studies.
Conversely, a drumbeat of lies proves nothing.

If a person subject to clinical depression quits smoking he'll need chemical replacements whether he gets them or not.

To assert smoking is harmful and I'm lucky it hasn't killed me is a non argument.
It's harmless and luck is not a factor.

Gosh, I'm glad I have your permission to smoke! Thanks!
If you see my lungs, skin and teeth you'll find they are normal.

You can believe anything you want, but I wouldn't go around badmouthing smoking if I were you. If you do, you're making a mortal enemy of anyone who smokes and they'll nail you the first chance they get.

<strong>Whatever, your arguments hold no water and nothing you have said has even made sense. You go ahead and smoke, I'll go ahead and believe it's bad for you along with the rest of the universe. I'm not afraid of getting 'nailed' by a smoker anyway- I could probably outrun you. I know that when I smoked I felt like shit, so that's my business- this is my blog, so I can say what I want. If you're looking to pick a fight you can find someone else to do it with. Goodbye and thank you for your comments.

HOW do you know cigarettes kill? Did you hear it on the pharmaceutical-owned boob tube? I've been smoking for decades and I ain't dead yet.

It's not possible to prove a negative. Let the tobacco nazis prove a positive with something besides phony numbers. They've tried to give diseases to lab animals for 50 years and can't do it. That's proof enough for anyone with a brain cell that tobacco is harmless.

The problem with dope is they'll put you in jail for using it. Presciptipn drugs are very legal and very expensive.

<strong>Again, if you have proof that smoking is not harmful then I would like to see it. I know cigarettes are bad for you because I know people who smoke, and I know people who do not smoke- the smokers are hands down less healthy than the non-smokers- of course other factors play into health issues, not all smokers are going to die from smoking and not all non-smokers are perfectly healthy. But, I'm surprised that you really do not think cigarettes are harmful? Maybe you aren't dead yet, but I would like to see your lungs, or your skin, or your teeth. If you want to smoke that's fine by me, I really don't care- but even the tobacco companies say smoking is bad for you! It's common knowledge, the sky is blue/ cigarettes are harmful!

Furthermore, it's not required that you take prescription drugs and it's not required to smoke, you don't have to choose one or the other. I don't even smoke pot for the anti-depressant effects anyway, I just like to get high, and I know it's illegal but it's far less harmful than cigarettes, alcohol, rx's, and many OTC drugs- but that's a separate argument altogether.

I'm all for believing that the pharmaceutical companies are a sneaky, lying breed- but I think you're off the mark. If you're healthy and have been smoking for decades then good for you, you're lucky. But I'm sure that the majority of people in a similar situation as you would not fare as well.

Dear, smoking or smelling it has never proven to be deadly. Everything you've heard to the contrary is a bald faced lie. The liars want to outlaw tobacco and replace it with prescription drugs at ten prices.

Incidentally, pot makes one feel awfully good, but it's not an antidepressant.
And the nannies don't like it much. either.

<strong>Honey, I think anyone with a brain cell knows cigarettes kill. If you have some sources that prove otherwise I would love to see them. Even if you want to argue that tobacco isn't harmful, how about all the other chemicals contained in a cig?

And, there have been studies that show small doses of marijuana CAN have similar effects as anti-depressants(http://psychcentral.com/blog/archives/2007/10/26/cannabis-as-an-anti-depressant/), but more often than not you cannot rely on any drug alone as a 'cure' for depression, it take personal work as well. But I do agree about people wanting to pump us full of prescription drugs, and am against that.

Tobacco is the best antidepressant known to man. If you allow tobacco nazis to condemn you to a life of depression, you deserve what you get.

<strong>Perhaps I shouldn't let other people's opinions influence my own, but in this situation I think I would rather choose an anti-depressant that isn't proven to be deadly- like pot.
